Making the Most of My Mind's Eye Kits June 08

I asked the Booya girls to give some examples of how to use a My Minds Eye (MME) kit. The kits are so attractive to me, but I’ve always had a hard time with double sided papers and matching die cuts. What is one to do with all the options? It was overwhelming to me. Once I opened my kit, everything fell into place. These kits are not only easy to use, they’re addicting.

Amanda cut her Sisters kit papers into strips for some luscious layers! She used her journaling block as a foundation to her Flower die cut and journaling title strips.

Lacintha said this about her Cousins kit, “I have to say I just loved using this kit. First time for me, and definitely something I'll be using again. It's amazing how fast the page comes together, and will be awesome for all those pics/events we want to scrap but neglect for various reasons...)...and, I actually used every element in the kit.”

For me, I used the Sweet Little One Kit. I started off buy cutting one paper to mat my photos and journaling block. I then did a few tricks behind the pink gingham block. To give the illusion of more supplies, I cut my frame in half and made it look like a pattern piece of paper! I also used my title block to mount my journaling tag.
Anne’s layout has a bright quilt-like feel the way she cut and pieced her pattern papers together from her Day Dream Kit. Her diecut elements embellish the page while a black sheet of cardstock frames the entire layout

Here’s what Alissa loves about her kit, “I actually made a layout, a card and a tag in less than 30 min. I have plenty more to make another layout or cards or even a mini book!” Her projects and enthusiasm are inspirational.
