by Shawna Webster Inspiration from Home Decor
Inspiration can be found in many forms. One great way to find ideas is by looking at home décor magazines, websites or even around your house. Look at the different prints, layouts, shapes and designs to find ideas for your pages. The design team put together a few examples.

Amanda liked the colors and patterns from this bedding and found a kit from My Minds Eye that was a great match for her adorable pics of Teagan and his Great Grandmother.
Kristi chose the stitching on this adorable baby blanket to incorporate on her page. Look around for other patterns that might be the perfect touch to add a stitched element to your page.
Lacintha used this unique piece of wall art to find inspiration. She mimicked the design on her page by doodling and adding buttons for embellishments. The perfect touch for her Work of Art!
Maegan used a bookshelf from a magazine photo to inspire her photo placement. You can use the outline of home décor items as a sketch of sorts to create the design of your page.
For my layout I chose this picture frame which is also used like a sketch in this case. I used it to figure out the pattern I would lay my photograph in. I used other embellishments to add more to the design.

So if you are stumped for ideas and need inspiration don’t hesitate to pick up the home magazine and check out the décor items inside. You will come up with some great designs!
