Scrapping Out of the Box

by Shawna Webster

Sometimes it's fun to take a big step outside of the box and come up with a fun page you wouldn’t normally create.  I'm talking about those out of the ordinary pages. There are so many different ways to create something you don’t have to stick with an ordinary shaped page or a normal cardstock based page.

Chrys decided to do her layout on a transparency. Just start with a plain transparency and layer your page as you normally would.  I find glue dots work best!
Amanda went for a 6x12 sized layout. Not your ordinary size to work with but its really fun. So if you want to try something smaller than your normal cut that 12x12 cardstock in half and get busy creating this great page!
Lacintha did this fun flower shaped page. You can do any shape really. There are plenty of precut cardstocks from Bazzill (check out the store!) or you can cut your own to shape.
Cyndi used some great Lace cardstock on her page as her base. The black is just her photo background.  You can find this great cardstock in the store as well.  Just start with it as your background and scrap on as usual.

For my page I did end up handcutting my own shape.  You can find printables online to trace and cut out or use your own templates you’ve purchased. Either way you can create fun shaped layouts that are just out of the ordinary but look great!
